This unique 34" long Viking knit chain hand crafted by Lady Em herself was creatively weaved the viking knit through the loops of the pattern copper chain.. Lady Em made this funky, fancy hammered toggle that makes the connection so convenient. 3" long abstract copper earrings are a fine match but can be worn lovely on their own. Alot of time goes into making a Viking knit chain. It is like crocheting, small little loops.
After discarding hundreds of corks a month whilst working at Mt.Boucherie winery I thought to myself there must be something creative I can do with the old corks appose to making wreaths that most people do or putting them in jugs? I guess you can say that my mother (Lady Em) jewelry making rubbed off on me (not as extravagant as her creations) I thought of earrings and how much fun would they be to wear. The idea of recycling, wearing a conversational piece and all of the fond memories that I witnessed as guests enjoyed drinking the wine inside the bottles. Leaving only a red stain on the tips of the cork to show the evidence.

These hand made hand painted Burgundy/pink/black Kazuri beads from Kenya Africa have a great story. The founder, Susan Wood, started back in 1975 with two African women hand making and painting a rich rainbow of coloured beads.
